Anybody run the calculator to see what the low end ratio is for the new SRAM 11x1. 28x42 is the lowest gear combination, just wondering how close that is to a 22x36.

On a 26" with a 2.2 tire it's 16.1 gear inches for 22/36 and 17.7 for 28/42. So very close, but not as low as a 22/36. On a 29" with a 2.2 tire the difference is : 17.6 vs 19.4. I've always used gear inches. I realize the crank length can affect the gain rate/ratio, but for quick comparisons, gear inches are easier to process.
